After the devastating news of Nims death, we have thought hard about whether we should continued with this year's Dusk Till Dawn: The Seaside Switchback. It was not a decision we took lightly, but after careful conversations with Nims' family and the Trustees of the Nimsdai Foundation, we have decided that the event will go ahead.
The reason is simple. Nims never stood still. He inspired us to keep putting one foot in front of the other and to continue making a difference no matter the obstacles.
Our annual Dusk Till Dawn event returns on 26th September 2026, an unforgettable overnight endurance challenge that brings together adventure, community and purpose.
In true Nimsdai Foundation style, we're bringing the mountaineering spirit to the Dorset coastline. As part of the Seaside Switchback, participants will take on a 22-mile challenge from Hamworthy to Hengistbury Head, tackling all 21 beach access paths by climbing to the clifftop before descending back to the beach. Along the way, you will earn your 14 Peaks and 7 Summits.
Setting off after sunset, participants will experience Dorset's spectacular coastline in a way few ever do. Guided by the glow of headtorches beneath a star-filled sky, you will climb, descend and push forward alongside fellow adventurers, accompanied by the peaceful sounds of the coast as you journey through the night, watching the sunrise from Hengistbury Head.
