The Broad Peak Guides' Family Support Fund has been established by the Nimsdai Foundation under its charitable object ‘to provide relief for the public benefit to those suffering financial hardship arising from natural disasters and major climbing incidents’
The Fund has been created following the Broad Peak avalanche to provide financial assistance to the immediate families of the five mountain guides who tragically lost their lives.
The Fund exists solely to provide compassionate financial assistance and should not be considered compensation, insurance or a legal entitlement.
The Fund does not include or provide any financial support to the family of Nims Purja MBE.
